by Lara Li 26 Jun 2024

INSTRUCTIONS

Set up Guide

1. Pour Elysius Pearled Wax into a vessel of your choosing.

2. Place the wick into the wax with a minimum 4cm distance from any objects in the vessel and vessel wall.

3. Leave 0.5cm of wick above the wax surface (trim as required).

4. Optional Step: add few drops of essential or fragrance oils.

5. Light the wick.

Clean up Guide

1. Wait for the wax pool to cool down and solidify.

2. Grab the wick and remove the single unit of wick and the wax pool. Discard.

3. Pour the unused wax back into Elysius container or keep in vessel.

    Refresh and Reuse Guide

For the solidified wax pool and wick, turn it upside down and bury the melted pool/burnt wick back into the pearled candle.

A 'new' wick is now ready to be relit.

Alternatively, break the wax pool into pieces and bury these back in the pearled candle

OR use them as decorative pieces

For the wick, cut and preserve any unused part.

    Burn Time Guide:

Through extensive testing, our standard box of Elysius Pearled wax (520g of wax) can achieve UP TO 120 hrs of use. However, there are many causes which can speed up wax consumption and thereby reduce burn time. These include:

    • Frequent discarding of the wax pool and exchange to new wick.
      • Solution:  reuse and repurpose the wax.
        • Multiple wicks (this creates greater heat and faster simultaneous burn)
          • Solution: use single wick
          • More than 5mm wick exposed above wax level (a longer wick creates a larger flame).
            • Solution: keep exposed wick at 0.5cm.

            SAFETY Considerations:

Burn radius of the wax pool is usually 4cm. To ensure the wax pool does not heat up the walls of the vessel, we recommend the following:

            • Use > 8cm diameter for non-heat resistant vessels.
            • Place wick 4cm away from any objects in the vessel and vessel wall
            • Ensure inserted wick does not touch bottom of the container. Recommend 1 cm gap.
            • No restrictions for heat and flame-resistant vessels.

Congratulations! You have now learned how to use our Elysius candle. Now let’s move on to the more exciting part.
